Coeducation at Baylor

Our commitment to coeducation is important in all aspects of the school and is directly linked to our commitment to leadership and diversity. Learning with people from different cultures and backgrounds broadens our students' views and prepares them for the real world. By offering boys and girls equal opportunities, we help them develop their full potential and a respect for different perspectives.

As a result, both girls and boys identify Baylor as a school where personal growth and development are encouraged, where opportunities for leadership and influence abound, where meaningful relationships are forged with peers and adults, where finding a sense of balance helps manage the stresses of school life, and where each student is treated equally – in and out of the classroom.

Teaching requires more energy to work with both genders, but it’s so great to see how different perspectives influence each other. This is more the way the world works...
