Enrichment Programs

New this summer, we will offer several enrichment programs to compliment our traditional summer programs. These offerings focus on learning new skills and making new friends in a setting that is over the top! Our highly individualized programs provide a fantastic camper to staff ratio to ensure that every child will have the opportunity to make the most out of summer. Our new enrichment programs include:

American Red Cross Babysitting Camp | June 21 - 25 | 11 – 15 years | Coed
Baylor has joined forces with the American Red Cross to bring you our first Babysitting Training course. This week-long course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, instructional video and lively discussions. Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in various babysitting situations. Upon completion of this course you will also be certified in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid. You will be the most sought-after babysitter on the block! Find out more here.

AVA Art Camp | June 7 – August 7 | ages vary per camp | Coed
AVA’s Art Camp offers weeklong in-depth classes led by professional artists that cover a range of topics in 2-D and 3-D art. A variety of age-appropriate classes (ages 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11), each with a different focus, are offered throughout the months of June and July.  Find out more here.

AVA Arts Film Camp - Making  the Music Video | June 28 – July 2 | ages 12 – 17 years | Coed
Learn how to create a music video from start to finish. Lighting,  sound, sets and videography are just a few of the areas students will explore  in this one-week class dedicated to making a music video. Find out more here.

AVA Arts Film Camp – Making the Short Film | June 21 – June 25 | ages 12 – 17 years | Coed
AVA Film Camp - Making the Short Film will focus on writing, directing, and distribution the short film.  Find out more here.

AVA Arts Film Camp – 2-D Stop Motion Animation | June 7 – 11 | ages 12 – 17 years | Coed
This week of camp will focus on 2-D stop motion animation techniques, giving campers the opportunity to explore animation, visual literacy, editing and special effects techniques, and multimedia concepts. Find out more here.

AVA Arts Film Camp – 3-D Clay Animation Techniques | June 14 – 18 | ages 12 – 17 years | Coed
This week of camp will focus on 3-D clay sculpture animation techniques.  The camp will provide the opportunity for students to explore animation, visual literacy, editing, special effects techniques, and multimedia concepts.  Find out more here.

Cooking Camp | July 12 – 16 | ages 8 – 12 years | Coed
Baylor is cooking up some extra camp fun this summer for young chefs and fellow foodies.  Join us this summer for some hands-on training in creating culinary delights that will be super-easy to recreate at home! You will also visit Baylor's very own organic garden and learn about the benefits of using organic and local foods in your cooking.  Find out more here.

Fly-Fishing | June 28 – July 1; July 6 – 9 | Ages 10 – 14 years | Coed
Baylor alum Mac Mcgee '89, owner and director of a local fly fishing store in Chattanooga will provide basic to intermediate instruction on the essential skills of fly-fishing. Experience is not required. Space is limited. Find out more here.

Baylor Dance Camp | July 19 - 23 | Ages 7 – 12 | Coed
Baylor’s dance camp will provide a nurturing, no-pressure environment to help you express your creativity while learning new skills. Through creative movement, games, and improvisation, you will begin to build a foundation for dance performance. Click here for more details. Find out more here.

Baylor Sailing Camp | June 28 – July 2 | ages 8 – 13 years | Coed
Don’t miss this exciting introduction to sailing! This one-week session is for beginners as well as those with some sailing experience. Each session will include land-based classroom learning and instruction on the water in a safe, supervised environment. By the end of the week, you will have the knowledge and skills to guide your own boat around a marked course across the lake. Campers should be competent swimmers and comfortable with water activities. Find out more here.

Baylor Art Camp | July 19-23; July 26-30 | 9 am - noon | 7 - 12 years | Coed
Do you enjoy painting, drawing and sculpting? You will have the opportunity to create many different projects in this camp that takes place in Baylor’s amazing art building. Led by local artist Jan Cooper, a variety of lessons and concepts will be explored as you discover your inner artist in your own unique way.  This is a messy camp, so come prepared! Robotics | June 21 – 25 | ages 10 – 14 years | Coed
This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO® Robotics System.  Students will learn mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. Find out more here.
