Student Support
What is it?
Baylor's entire student body – from the sixth grade through the twelfth grade - is fortunate to be in a supportive community that provides the appropriate resources for the particular needs that adolescents face. Student support is available in many forms, including our counseling staff, a school psychologist, the Writing Center, a learning specialist, and the Testing and Study Skills office. These resources are outlined in further detail on this site.
Who needs it?
It's important for students and families to understand that there is no stigma in asking for help, in fact, we expect our students to use these resources for a variety of social and academic needs. Our counseling staff, study skills director and others are in close contact with teachers, letting them know of any difficulties an individual student may be having and finding ways to overcome these challenges.
Parents and students who would like more information are welcome to call Michael McBrien at ext. 351, or email Michael.
