Chaplain

Dan Scott serves as Baylor's full-time Chaplain. In addition to serving as the chaplain, Dan is an Ethics Instructor in our Upper School and involved in a number of activities across campus and in the dorms. Dan received his bachelor's degree from Carson-Newman College, his master's in divinity degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his doctorate in ministry from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The role of Baylor's chaplain is to provide pastoral care and guidance to all members of the community, regardless of their faith. The Chaplain organizes the weekly chapel program, coordinates voluntary faith groups on campus, facilitates the worship activities of our boarding students, and serves as spiritual mentor for the school community in times of celebration and crisis.
