College Counseling

Baylor's College Counseling Office is in the business of enabling students to see a match, and then assisting them in making that match with colleges throughout the application process. We believe that the college counseling program begins and ends with the student.

Each Student is Unique
We know each student has a different story to tell and that each will enter the college search process in his or her own way and in his or her own time. A few of our students will wear the carpet to our office thin, where others will barely leave a mark. Whatever the case, we will be here to assist you in any way possible. However, we fully expect you to take control of the college search process.

Our Mission
As college counselors, it is our duty to provide guidance, offer our advice, ask probing questions, make recommendations and suggestions, provide referrals, and above all, inform our students of the many opportunities that avail them. The decision as to what to write in the college essay, and where to apply, must, and will always remain with the student. After all, this entire process is about the student; you are the one who must take the college entrance exam, write the essay, complete the application, and ultimately attend college. We value the relationships we establish with our students in the course of our counseling efforts, and look forward to working with you.
