The calendar below details our breaks and vacation schedule. It is
important for parents to review the schedule carefully so that when they
are making travel plans for their teen he or she does not miss any
class time. It is rare that we allow students to miss classes or tests
to facilitate travel before or after a break. Those students must make
up class time and work in the study hall, usually during the hours
reserved for detention. The school runs a bus service to and from the
local airport and we’re happy to schedule transportation to any of the
area airports via local livery services. Shuttle information and

2012 – 13 Break Schedule
Fall Break
(in-season varsity athletes - check with coach before booking flights)
Thur., Oct. 4 - Mon., Oct. 8
Students are dismissed at Noon. Dorms will remain open for Fall Break;
all students need to be back on campus by 9:00 p.m. on Monday, October
8.
Boarding Parent Weekend
Fri., Septe,ber 28.......... Parents' Day begins at 8:45 a.m.
Sun., September 30.......... Boarding Parent Weekend activities conclude by noon
Thanksgiving Break
(In-season varsity athletes - check with coach before booking flights)
Fri., Nov. 16..........All students dismissed at 3:15 p.m., dorms close Sat., September 17 at noon.
Mon., Nov. 26.......Dorms re-open at 1 p.m., all students return by 9 p.m.
Christmas Break

Thurs., Dec. 20............All students dismissed at Noon, dorms close at 5 p.m
Sunday, Jan. 6...........Dorms re-open at 1 p.m., all students need to be back on campus by 9:00 p.m. on Sun, January 6.
Winter Break
Thur., Feb. 14-18
Students are dismissed at Noon. Dorms will remain open for Winter
Break; All students need to be back on campus by 9:00 p.m. on Mon., Feb.
18.
Spring break
Tues., March 19.....SENIORS ONLY – dismissed by 3:30 p.m.
Thur., March 21.....All other students dismissed at noon, dorms close at 5 p.m.
Mon., April 1..........Dorms re-open at 1 p.m.: all students need to be back on campus by 9:00 p.m. on Mon., April 1.
End of School
Thurs., May 30.......All students dismissed at 10:30 a.m (or when they finish their exam).; dorms will remain open until 5 p.m.on Fri., May 31
Fri., May 31..........Graduation (for Seniors only)
