Dr. Carolyn Curry

Founder, Director
Women Alone Together

Dr. Carolyn Curry, a lecturer with a Ph.D in history and a passion for women's issues, addressed Baylor students on women's rights and equality. Dr. Curry discussed restrictions imposed on women in the U.S. over the last three centuries, as well as inequities in today's work place and political arena, telling students to "be informed, know your history, be proud of who you are - male and female, and demand respect from your peers." Dr. Curry is the founder and director of Women Alone Together, a non-profit foundation dedicated to building confidence and community for the growing number of women who are alone because of divorce, death of a spouse, single by choice or alone in a marriage.
