Graduation Information - Class of 2013

2013 Senior Timeline

Tuesday, March 19:
Senior’s spring break will begin after the last class of the day.  Classes will resume on Tues., April 2.

Thursday, April 4:
Senior Trip information will be emailed to parents & students. (Note: one form is to be downloaded, completed, and returned by May 1 to Tim Williams at Baylor.)

Thursday, April 18:
Photos for the Senior Poster will be made during Colloquium (9:52-10:47) in Lupton Circle.

Saturday, April 20:  Junior/Senior Prom at Track 29 from 8:00 PM – midnight.  

Thursday, April 25:  class photo at the “old” Baylor entrance during Colloquium (9:52-10:47).

Monday, April 29:  “Senior Dress” begins.  Senior Dress is a more casual dress (no uniforms required), except for Recognition Day on May 14.

Also in April:
Graduation invitation orders will be delivered sometime in April to the Campus Store.  Seniors will be notified when to pick them up through the Daily Announcements and the class folder.  Graduation caps and gowns will also arrive in the bookstore in late April.  There is no expense involved and students will again be notified about pick up through the class folder and daily announcements.

Monday-Friday, May 6-17:  AP Exams

Tuesday, May 14:  Recognition Day in the Alumni Chapel – 2:30 PM 

Friday, May 17:  Last academic day for seniors.

Monday, May 20:
Senior  student luncheon at The Car Barn – 11:30 AM (coat & tie for guys).

Awards Day ceremony in Alumni Chapel – 2:30 PM

Tues. & Wed, May 21 & 22:  Two days for seniors to pack and prepare for the Senior Trip

Thursday – Thursday, May 23 – May 30:
Senior Trip.  Seniors will meet at 9:30 AM in Roddy Theater prior to departure. 

Thursday, May 30:
Seniors return from Senior Trip (at approximately 1:00 PM).  Graduation rehearsal in the Field House immediately upon arrival from the Senior Trip.

Friday, May 31 (Graduation Day):

7:00 – 8:30 AM – The Field House will be unlocked for senior parents to place reserved seat markers in the senior seating section. (Each senior will receive six seat markers which will be mailed to parents the first week of May).  Note: there will be plenty of general seating for additional guests.  The graduation ceremony should last approximately two hours.

10:00 AM – Seniors arrive at the Field House ready for line-up. (Be prepared for heavy traffic at the front entrance.  Note:  the back gate will also be open and is recommended to use.)

11:00 AM – Graduation ceremony.  A podcast of graduation will be posted on the school website the following week.  (Lifetouch Photography will take photos of each senior receiving his/her diploma.)  Images are posted online within 72 hours at www.lifetouchevents.com (password is BAYLORgrad13 and is case sensitive).

8:00 – 11:00 PM – Senior Graduation Celebration Party sponsored by senior parents.  More information will follow.
