Dear Parents of Middle School Students,
Next week is the in final full week of classes in the Middle School. For the sixth grade, Friday, May 24 will be the final day of classes, and all end-of-year assessments will be completed during regular class time. The seventh and eighth grade will have math and foreign language exams on Monday, May 27 and Tuesday, May 28 (details to follow in a separate email); all other end-of-year assessments will be completed during regular class time the week of May 20. Grades and comments for the fourth quarter, as well as final grades will be posted for all grades by Monday, June 3.
Summer reading kicked off today with an activity for rising seventh and eighth grade students during Middle School Flex time. You can learn more about summer reading on the Baylor website here. I will also be sending home in June a supply list with text book information and a list of courses for next year. Be on the lookout for those emails.

Tucker’s Treasures LAX Equipment Collection May 18 and 19
Baylor freshmen Ben Shuptrine and Owen Bettis will be collecting used LAX equipment Saturday, May 18 in Nashville from 9-2 p.m. at the TSLA and at the LAX banquet on Sunday May 19, at 1:30 p.m. Tucker's Treasures honors Tucker Hunt ’16, is a non-profit used Lacrosee equipment exchange program to help new players with great sports equipment as they decide this could be their sport and it helps players in need. The TSLA State Championship Lacrosse playoffs are this weekend and Ben and Owen hope to expand Tucker's Treasures to state wide needs.
Ninth Grade Parent Outing to Lookouts Game May 19
The Lookouts game outing is just around the corner...May 19, at 2:15 p.m. (meet in front of the stadium between 1:30-2:00 to pick up your tickets). RSVP to Lisa Viland by Monday, May 13 so she can organize the number of tickets. Even if you've menitoned your interest in going, please send her an email to make sure she has you on her list. All current juniors will be measured for red blazers on April 29 - May 1. Juniors who want to buy a used blazer from a current senior may do so, but this must be arranged before May 23. Students who wish to buy a new blazer must notify Coach Clark in person before May 23. Students will be charged for new blazers ($75) if they have not notified Coach Clark of a used purchase arrangement.
Seniors have Option to Sell Red Blazers
Tuesday, May 14 is recognition day and the last required day for to wear their red blazers. Seniors who do not wish to keep their blazers may sell it to current juniors through word of mouth, the First Class Bulletin Board or other appropriate means.
