Baylor Lacrosse Foursome Honored (Lacrosse - Boys Varsity, Lacrosse - Boys Varsity)

Baylor lacrosse players Austin Cole, Matt Tidwell, Ian Jump, and Matt Bodine recently received state and national honors.

Cole, a senior midfielder, was named to the TSLA's All-Region first team and All-State second team and was an Academic All-American in the Tennessee Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse. During his Baylor career, Cole scored 80 goals and had 21 assists and 232 ground balls while posting a cumulative GPA of 3.99. He will play at Brown University next year.

Tidwell was named first team All-Region and All-State at long stick midfield. In his senior season, shortened by an injury, Tidwell scored two goals, had 75 ground balls, and won 58 of 125 face-offs and finishes his Baylor career with 342 ground balls while winning 57% of his face-offs. Tidwell will play at Nazareth College.

Freshman phenom Jump is first team All-Region and second team All-State at his face-off midfield position. The only freshman on an All-State team, Jump scored seven goals and led the Raiders in assists (11), ground balls (85), and face-off percentage (64.66%).

Bodine, a junior, was named first team All-Region at defense. Bodine's consistent effort usually meant he guarded the opponent's best attackman. He finished the year with 38 ground balls.
