Schaack Van Deusen '61 Enters Hall of Fame (Wrestling - Varsity)

Longtime Baylor assistant wrestling coach Schaack Van Deusen '61 will be be inducted into the Tennessee Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. A reception is at 3:30 p.m. and the induction dinner begins at 5 p.m.

Van Deusen is in his 31st year as assistant wrestling coach for the Red Raiders and has helped guide the matmen to 11 traditional state championships and five dual titles. He was selected as the 2001 national assistant coach of the year. As a student, he earned three varsity letters in wrestling (1959-60-61) under legendary coach Luke Worsham and was City Prep champion his junior and senior years.

Major Worsham and current head wrestling coach Jim Morgan are also members of the Hall of Fame.

Tickets for this year's hall of fame dinner are $40 each and tables of 8 are $320.
