There will be light homework, free pizza and drinks, and a free dress day January 9th for those who attend. We will have a presentation and discussion about man’s image in media. Contact Tomas Arciniega or Jonathan Skewes if you are interested or have any questions.
The Baylor Fine Arts Department will present The Annual Holiday Band Concert on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Alumni Chapel. This Concert features performances by our Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, and US Concert Band. Come out and hear our gifted young performers.
On Saturday, December 14th, the Tennessee Cyclocross Championship will come to Greenway Farms. Cyclocross mixes the speed of road biking with the obstacles of a mud run. Our Chattanooga team will take on visitors from around the state, and to pull the whole thing off, HUB Endurance and the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy need students to build obstacles, guide riders as they speed through the course, and raise their voices in the Heckle Zone. The event will have an impressive raffle and an opportunity for amateurs to ride the course at the end of the day.
If you would like to volunteer for this exciting event, please email Tim Laramore or Liam (William) Pinson.
BAHAMAS! If you are interested in going on the Bahamas Spring Break Trip and still need information, email Annie Burnett. Also, if you have decided you wanted to go, email her as well. This opportunity is only offered up until Christmas Break! Thank you!
WALKABOUT SKI TRIP What better gift could there be for Christmas than snow? Walkabout is running a Ski/Snowboard trip to Whistler British Columbia (which is much closer to the North Pole!) over Spring Break. All levels are welcome. Please email William Montgomery for details.
UPCOMING SPECIAL WALKABOUT TRIPS IN EARLY 2014: It is not too early to start planning for some exciting Walkabout trips for next semester. The annual backpacking trip to Cumberland Island over Winter Break (Feb.) is already filling quickly. We will again be going to Florida over spring break to do some backpacking along the Florida Trail and paddling in scenic rivers and creeks. These trips can be wonderful holiday gifts! Please contact Mr. Emmanuele for further details.
