Friday, 9/7: The varsity football game tailgate will take place on Rike Field beginning at 5:30 PM.
Monday, 9/10: Middle School photos will be taken during Literacy Strategies classes.
Tuesday, 9/11: Author Jordan Sonnenblick will have special Skyping sessions with Baylor students during the academic day.
Tuesday, 9/11: The Sixth Grade Book Club, celebrating The Graveyard Book, will take place in the Chapel beginning at 6:00 PM. Sixth grade students and their parents are encouraged to attend.
Wednesday, 9/12: Parents and students interested in the ISCA summer trip to England are invited to attend an informational meeting in the Old Chapel beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Friday, 9/14: Middle school students are invited to the first social event of the year – grade level picnics on campus (no parents please). All the events will take place from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and will include dinner (burgers, hotdogs, turkey burgers, chips, etc.). Students should give $5 to Ms. McDowell before the event to reserve a spot.
Sixth grade students will meet behind Academic Hall. Sixth Grade Parents are invited to a social at Taco Mamacitas Patio after the cookout drop-off at 5:45 until pick up.
Seventh grade students will be on the practice football field (near the baseball field).
Eighth grade students will be on Lupton Circle. Eighth grade students should bring a white t-shirt for decorating.
Friday, 9/14: The first half of the first quarter ends. Grades and comments will be posted on NetClassroom by Wednesday, 9/20; Floyd Celapino will send parents an email when reports are available for viewing.
Tuesday, 9/18: Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. Parent – adviser conferences will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. If you have not yet scheduled a conference with your child’s adviser, please contact them to arrange an appointment.
Wednesday, 9/19: Middle School students will hear from Dr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, in an assembly during adviser.
Thursday, 9/20: Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. Parent – adviser conferences will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. If you have not yet scheduled a conference with your child’s adviser, please contact them to arrange an appointment.
Friday, 9/21: The Baylor-McCallie football game will take place in Finley Stadium. Details about the game will be made available as the date approaches. Middle School students will have afternoon athletics and activities as normal.
Monday, 9/24: Sixth grade parents are invited to a parent meeting about the sixth grade trip to Nature’s Classroom in Mentone, AL. The meeting will take place in the Old Chapel beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Monday, 9/24: Photo make-up day.
Thursday, 9/27: Seventh grade students will be off campus for the second installment of their exploration of Chattanooga. Students in Geography will participate in the history field trip, and students in science will participate in the farm field trip.
Friday, 9/28: The last home varsity football game tailgate will take place on Rike Field beginning at 5:30 PM.
Monday, 10/1: The sixth grade departs for the class trip at 9:00 a.m. from the Field House.
Wednesday, 10/3: The sixth grade returns from the class trip by 3:00 p.m. Parents should pick-up students in front of the Field House.
Wednesday, 10/3: The Middle School fall athletic season ends. The winter season begins on Monday, 10/22.
Thursday, 10/4. Middle School Parents’ Day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 11:30 a.m. Fall break begins at the conclusion of Parents’ Day.
Tuesday, 10/9: Classes resume.
Friday, 10/19: Sixth grade dads and students are invited to join other dads for breakfast in the dining hall from 7:00-7:45 a.m. The cost is $4 per person and can be charged to your account.
