A Note from Tommy Hopper '84

As a Baylor graduate, I’m certain you would all agree that Baylor School is on an awesome trajectory: great things are happening and the future promises to solidify Baylor’s standing as one of the top schools in the country. Baylor would not be where it is today, nor would it have the resources to move forward, without a well-supported Annual Fund. A strong Annual Fund allows Baylor to be, well, a better Baylor. It enables our admissions office to offer a bright prospective student some needed financial aid, it gives our faculty the resources they need to reach and teach, and it allows our athletic department to outfit our teams with pride.

Quite simply, Baylor needs your financial support. The success you enjoy today is probably linked back to the advantage that Baylor gave to you. Now it is your turn. On behalf of the Alumni Board, I’d like to encourage each of you to make a donation to the Annual Fund and give back to the school that has given us all so much. Every gift counts!

Why is high participation important?
Participation at every level is important. Smaller gifts are often catalysts for larger gifts, and the Annual Fund is the perfect place to put gifts of all sizes to work by pooling them during the fiscal year. It is important to participate because it shows that those who know Baylor best care about its future. The percentage of alumni who give to the school is one of the factors considered by corporations, foundations, and ranking organizations. It is also a clear measure of the effectiveness and success of an educational institution’s program.  Please consider making a gift to boost overall Alumni participation but to also help push your own class numbers higher.
