Baylor fields softball teams at the varsity and lower school levels. The varsity team competes in the TSSAA, Division II East region and the lower school team competes in the TVAC.

Facilities

Baylor’s softball diamond was renovated in 2005 and is considered one of the finest softball venues in the area.

Fast Facts on Baylor Softball

  • Baylor won its sixth state championship in 2011.
  • Baylor won three straight state championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In the three state tournaments, Baylor did not lose a game, going 12-0.
  • Baylor won back-to-back state championships in 1993 and 1994.
  • Baylor head coach Kelli Smith was a player on the '93 and '94 state champs and coached the Red Raiders to the '03, '04, '05, an '11 titles.

    Schmissrauter Gets OVC Honor

    Baylor alum Maddie Schmissrauter was named the OVC's softball co-Pitcher of the Week, turning in outstanding performances in both of her starts for Tennessee Tech at the Buzz Classic, where she was named to the All-Tournament team.
