Welcome to the Tradition of Champions

Although it is Baylor's newest varsity sport it has not taken long for the lacrosse program to join the school's tradition of champions. This spring the Baylor boys’ lacrosse team made school history as Baylor’s first state champions in the sport, bringing home the Division 2 trophy after defeating Ensworth 9-6.  In the spring of 2001 the team will move into Division 1, and Coach Jon Bloom is preparing his team for competition against more experienced teams.  "It's time for us to move up. When you are in Division 1 your players can get more attention from colleges, they have a chance to be an All-Americans, and the program can generally get more recognition. It’s tougher, but we’re ready."
