Financial Aid Process
Applying for Financial Aid at Baylor
In 2006-07 alone, Baylor awarded $2.8 million in need-based financial aid. Above all else, we're committed to building the best student body possible. And that means our school is accessible to gifted students, regardless of financial concerns.
Who Receives Aid
Generally, financial aid decisions are made in the following order:
• Returning students already receiving aid;
• Returning students not previously receiving financial aid;
• Newly accepted students who qualify for aid;
• Late applicants (if any funds remain available)
Financial Aid Application Steps and Deadlines
Step 1: Contact Us
Call (423) 267-5902 or e-mail admission@baylorschool.org. Deadline for day applications is January 31, 2008. For students entering the admission process after this date, financial aid forms are due with final application.
Step 2: Complete a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS)
Go to https://sss.ets.org to complete a Parents' Financial Statement (Note: a PFS is also available through our Admission Office.) This helps the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) analyze your financial information and estimate your family's need.
Step 3: Provide Documents
Provide Baylor School with a copy of your SSS application and copies of your Federal Income Tax Return (1040 form and schedules) including your W2, 1099, or other forms filed by you or your business.
Step 4: Notification:
Financial Aid decisions are made in March for all students, returning and new. All students accepted after the March decisions will be notified in their enrollment agreements. Students applying after March will be notified as decisions are made.
