Affording Baylor
As you’d expect, a Baylor School education requires a significant investment. For the 2008-09 school year, Baylor tuition is:
$18,416 for day students
$36,889 for boarding students
Additional fees include insurance, a student account (for items from the bookstore, field trips, etc.) and an allowance account for boarding students.
Making It Affordable
A high price tag doesn’t mean a high quality education is out of your reach. Very few Baylor families find it “easy” to pay full tuition, but they have made the choice that an excellent education is an investment that may require some financial sacrifices. Many of them have adjusted their spending habits dramatically and carefully manage their assets.
Financial Assistance
Even so, many families need financial assistance in order to make tuition payments. Like most other schools, the Baylor School uses School and Student Services (SSS) to assess a family’s level of need. We also require a school application and tax returns as part of the confidential process. SSS, located in Princeton, NJ, provides unbiased and uniform information to schools. Eligibility is based on many factors, so you should always investigate the possibility of receiving financial aid if you feel you cannot pay all of the costs yourself.
