For Parents

We understand how difficult it is having your child attend school at such a great distance, and we are committed to sending parents frequent email updates from advisers, dorm heads and deans.  Many parents have also established an “email” relationship with the Residential Life Office over the summer and continue to keep in touch with the International Student Adviser once their child is on campus.

School Breaks and Travel
Baylor’s campus is closed during Thanksgiving Break (November), Christmas Break (December - January) and Spring Break (March). International students must make arrangements to return home or stay with U.S. host families during these breaks, and reservations for travel should be made well in advance.  Our Residential Life Office is very helpful in assisting students with travel arrangements, and the school also provides transportation to the Chattanooga airport and assists in arranging shuttles to the Atlanta or Nashville airports.
