Testing
Baylor requires all applicants for admission as day students to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) admission test. Test registration forms and test make-up information will be mailed to you in October.

Main Application for Admission
Please fill out this part of the application and send it in to the Admission Office as soon as possible. We ask that we receive the main application before you come for the campus visit and conversation.

School Report and Transcript
Please give the school report form to your Principal, School Head, or Guidance Counselor, providing him or her with our envelope addressed to the Admission Office. The transcript should include all grades for the two years prior to your application, as well as from the first semester of the current school year. Please mail the transcript and school report to the Admission Office after the first semester of the current school year. You may request that the school mail this information directly to the Admission Office.

Common Teacher Recommendation
We have a common recommendation form that is being used by other independent schools in Chattanooga. Please indicate on the form that you would like the recommendation sent to Baylor School. This form should then be given to your current teacher, providing them with our envelope addressed to the Admission Office. We ask that you give your teachers adequate time to get to know the candidate before requesting a recommendation from them. Candidate and parents should sign the Waiver of Access before submitting these forms to their teachers. Please have the recommendations forwarded to us as they come available.

Personal Confidential Recommendation
Please give this envelope to another teacher or an adult who knows you outside of the classroom, providing him or her with our envelope addressed to the Admission Office. We ask that this recommendation come from a person who has frequent contact with you. Please have the recommendation forwarded to us as it becomes available.

Required Campus Visit and Conversation
The required campus visit and conversation with an admission counselor for day candidates may be scheduled during the week by calling the Admission Office at (423) 267-8505. Due to scheduling demands, please schedule your conversation at least one week in advance of the date you would like to visit campus. We ask that the main application be submitted prior to your conversation.
