The Leadership Baylor Program was launched in 2005 and has become an integral part of the Baylor learning experience. The goal of the Leadership Baylor program is to reach out to all of our students and help them discover and develop their unique leadership skills.
Some of the components of the Leadership Baylor program area as follows.
Under the broad umbrella of Leadership Baylor, every student in grades 9-12 is required to attend colloquium classes each week in Leadership, Wellness, College Counseling, or Academic Preparation.
Senior Capstone Projects
Seniors are required to demonstrate their leadership skills by completing a comprehensive “capstone” project.
Students in grades 10-12 attend a retreat off campus and focus on completing challenging team-building exercises with their classmates.
Leadership Baylor’s faculty share a common vision on the importance of teaching leadership to today’s youth.
In 2005 Baylor was the first secondary school in the country to become involved in the National Consortium for Character-Based Leadership.
