The Next College Forum
Held on the 3rd or 4th Saturday each February. This year's date is located on your school calendar.
What is the College Forum?
The Baylor School College Forum is a unique opportunity for both juniors and their parents to learn first-hand about the college admissions process from Deans and Directors of several major colleges and universities. These decision makers come to Baylor School to meet personally with students and parents in small group sessions during our Saturday program.
Who should attend?
Junior students are required to attend the day-long program that begins at approximately 9:30 and concludes at 1:00 p.m. Junior parents will also benefit from the information obtained during the College Forum. There are also special sessions for “Parents Only.”
What should students wear?
Because students will be meeting with Deans and Directors, we ask that they dress appropriately. Students should either wear their Baylor School Uniform utilizing the Monday dress code, or they should dress business casual—pants or skirt and dress shirt.
What sessions will be offered?
The Deans and Directors will cover a wide variety of admission related topics; sessions range from conversations about engineering programs to tips for admission into highly selective colleges.
What speakers will be in attendance?
College Counselors work hard throughout the year to provide dynamic speakers for the Forum. We try to include speakers from schools that Baylor students are most interested in attending and those we think you should learn more about. Speaker lists will be emailed to families approximately one month before the event.
