Our Campus & Facilities

In a word, Baylor's campus is stunning. Great care has been applied over the years to maintain and preserve 670 acres of land and turn-of-the century buildings that overlook the Tennessee River gorge.

Upper School classes are spread out among various academic buildings that are all within walking distance. In a more secluded section of campus you'll find the baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, a crew boat launch, a cross country loop, mountain bike trails, a nature preserve, a ropes course, a climbing wall, a golf short course, and one of the finest indoor/outdoor tennis facilities in the country. Individually, each element of our campus is beautiful, safe, and functional. Together they are nothing less than spectacular.

Progress & Commitment

Great attention has also been applied to progress – in the past 20 years we have added a sports complex with a new indoor 50-meter pool and wrestling facility, new dining facilities, a new science and technology building, a fine arts complex, a girls dormitory, and a chapel. Three years ago Academic Hall underwent major renovations to house Baylor's sixth grade program. Similarly, Barks Hall houses the seventh and eighth grade classes.

A Student Perspective

"Every day you drive through that gate you should really appreciate what you're going to. The campus is incredible and there are so many options athletics and academic-wise."

"Every morning I'm up early and walking around holding a cup of coffee. And right around 7 a.m. the fog lowers and sits right there on the mountains. It's awesome."
