From Our Headmaster
Headmaster Bill Stacy
Welcome!
We are Baylor...it's a simple phrase, yet it is loaded with meaning. When we say, "We are Baylor," we first mean we are people with a mission to make a positive difference in the world. And all of us - students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, donors, trustees, and friends - embrace that mission.
We also mean “We are Programs.” Baylor graduates have various levels of preparation in leadership: academically, emotionally, physically, ethically, and competitively. While our programs are rigorously demanding, they are offered in a cordial, friendly, positive learning environment.
“We are Baylor” also gets to the heart of a tradition of spirit and kinship. Athletic competition and championships give plenty of cause for celebration and build Red Raider pride. Theatre productions, walkabout, community service, Honor Council, the Dorm Council, and dozens of clubs and organizations forge friendships that last a life time.
Our magnificent campus is also very much a part of who we are. Take a look at what we think is one of the most beautiful prep school campuses in the country. Our dormitories, the Weeks Science and Technology building, the Fine Arts complex, athletic fields, and sparkling new aquatic center are all part of a 670-acre campus squarely situated on the picturesque Tennessee River. Baylor students enjoy the best facilities. And we are constantly at work making the best even better.
I invite you to learn more about us not only through this website, but with a personal visit to our beautiful campus. Take a look at how students and faculty interact with each other. Watch how they move about with smiles and laughter. Take in a play or dance recital, or watch our golfers practice their swings on our new short course. Browse the library and computer labs, visit the classrooms and dorms. I know that you will find, as I have, a remarkable educational community.
We look forward to seeing you at Baylor.
